PURPOSE:To compose music wherein features of original music are preserved by composing the music according to a linear prediction coefficient extracted from the original music. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard 34 is used as a play input means 1 and the melody of the inputted original music is stored in a music memory (RAM) 35; and a CPU 30 controls respective devices according to a program stored in a ROM 31, analyzes a time series constituting the melody of the inputted original music to calculate the linear prediction coefficient, and generates a time series constituting a new melody according to the calculated linear prediction coefficient. Therefore, the melody of the original music can be represented with good features and features including frequency characteristics of, especially, a power spectrum area are secured. Consequently, the composing machine which composes music wherein the features of the original music are held sufficiently is obtained. |
