发明名称 SPLICING TAPE FOR MAGNETIC TAPE
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deformation of a magnetic tape and to reduce noise by forming a pressure sensitive adhesive layer having a specified thickness and a specified Young's modulus on the surface of a polyethylene naphthalate film or a poly-p-phenylene terephthalamide film having a specified thickness and a specified Young's modulus. SOLUTION: A base film made of a polyethylene naphthalate film or poly-p- phenylene terephthalamide film is required to have 3-10μm thickness. In the case of <3μm thickness, such strength as to withstand tension at the time of running is not ensured and splicing function cannot well be satisfied. In the case of >10μm a small-sized high density magnetic tape is liable to deformation. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed on the surface of the base film. The pressure sensitive adhesive may be selected from among known various adhesives if the layer has 0.8-10kg/cm<2> , preferably 1.2-7kg/cm<2> Young's modulus.
