PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To line the inside of a sewer provided with a primary coating segment having strips protruding along a lengthwise direction while smoothly manufacturing a spiral tube by a self-traveling tube manufacturing machine. SOLUTION: In the method for lining the inside of a sewer comprising the steps of supplying a strip-like member 2 having connecting portions provided at both side edges to a connecting roller 12 of a self-traveling tube manufacturing machine in the sewer P provided with a primary coating segment having strips P1 protruding along a lengthwise direction, and connecting the spirally wound and adjacently contact portions therebetween to form a spiral tube R, a spacer 3 is interposed between the strips P1 of the segment in the case of passing the roller 12 of the machine.
