PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a situation where a vehicle cannot restart and secure traveling stability of the vehicle.SOLUTION: A control device for an engine includes: an automatic stop/restart section for automatically stopping the engine when a stop condition is satisfied and restarting the engine when a restart condition is satisfied; and an oil dilution amount calculation section for calculating oil dilution amount. When the oil dilution amount is larger than a predetermined amount, the automatic stop/restart section prohibits the automatic stop of the engine regardless of whether or not the stop condition is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
