PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can change APC loop gain according to light emission efficiencies so as to select optimal gain.SOLUTION: An image forming device (100) has a laser light emission element 401 that radiates laser light to an image carrier to be rotation-driven, a PD403 that detects a light quantity of the laser light and an APC control circuit 301. The APC control circuit 301, when a value of a light emission efficiency (η) based on detection results by the PD 403 and driving currents of the laser light emission element is equal to a predetermined value or less, switches APC loop gain to first loop gain (Gain_a), and when the value exceeds the predetermined value, switches the APC loop gain to second loop gain (Gain_b).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
