PURPOSE: A cooling/heating air conditioner is provided to allow the air conditioner to have multiple uses by arranging a storage device to the front surface of the air conditioner, while achieving a high efficiency for the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner(100) comprises a compressor(120); a four-way valve(130) installed at the outlet port of the compressor, and which changes circulation path of the refrigerant; an outdoor heat exchanger(150) connected to the four-way valve; an indoor heat exchanger(140) connected to the four-way valve; and a pressure reduction unit(160) interposed between the indoor heat exchanger and the outdoor heat exchanger. A storage device(170) installed at the pipeline extended from the indoor heat exchanger, includes a direct cooling type heat exchanger(171) arranged inside of the storage device; two-way valves(172,174) installed at the inlet port and outlet port of the storage device, respectively; a temperature sensor(178) for sensing the temperature of the storage device; and a control unit(176) for controlling open/shut operation of the two-way valve in accordance with the temperature of the storage device sensed by the temperature sensor. |
