PURPOSE: A process of preparing a nutritious drink by extracting cereals in the shape of low molecule weight and an aqueous solution to be easily absorbed and blended with a crude drug extract is provided. Whereby, the drink has no off-flavor and off-taste peculiar to a crude drug and exhibiting excellent intestinal absorption. CONSTITUTION: A blend of 48 to 55% by weight of glutinous rice, 22 to 24% by weight of rice, 6 to 8% by weight of barley, 6 to 8% by weight of foxtail millet, 6 to 8% by weight of sorghum and 3 to 4% by weight of soybean is washed with clean water, soaked 9 to 10 times in water and heated at 1 to 1.5 atm or less. Mori Ramulus and more folium are mixed in the same weight ratio and then Rubi fructus. All the mixture is heated at 100 to 131deg.C at 1 to 1.5 atm. The drug extract and cereal extract are mixed in a ratio of 0.9 to 1.1:2. The nutritious drink is useful as a general health drink remarkably effective to recover from the weakening and malnutrition.
