摘要 In a resist printing process, cellulose-containing materials are printed locally first with at least one resist print paste which in the case of white resists contains for example sodium formaldehyde-sulphoxylate or formamidinesulphinic acid as reducing agent, a thickener based on alginate, starch ether or bean flour with or without sodium carbonate and in the case of coloured resists additionally vat dyes. Then the fabric is overprinted uniformly wet-on-wet with a second print paste to print the ground. This print paste contains at least one reactive dye, a thickener based on polyacrylic acid, sodium hydroxide and potassium carbonate. Subsequently the printed materials are dried, steamed, washed and optionally subjected to an oxidative aftertreatment and then finished by for example soaping, rinsing, dewatering and drying. If desired, the resist print paste may additionally contain a benzylation discharging agent, triethanolamine and in the case of white resists an optical brightener and/or a marking dye and the paste for printing the ground may additionally contain for example urea, a reduction inhibitor and an antifoam; the urea may be needed for materials that contain regenerated cellulose. The results obtained on the textile material are multitone (two tones or more) effects whose patternings exhibit extremely sharp contours without haloes coupled with excellent levelness.
