PURPOSE: To readily and inexpensively obtain a molded product having a natural stone-like three-dimensional pattern in no need of an expensive mold having embossed patterns by placing two or more kinds of polymerizable and curable compounds different in their curing rates and hot-pressing them. CONSTITUTION: Two or more kinds of polymerizable and curable mixtures which comprise each (A) a polymerizable compound and (B) a filler and have different curing rates are placed on a mold, then hot-pressed to give the molded product having embossed surfaces. The component A is preferably a (meth) acrylic ester or an unsaturated polyester. The curing rate can be varied by the kind or amount of the polymerization initiator or use or not use of the polymerization accelerator. The polymerizable and curable mixtures are, for example, formed in blocks and these blocks are piled up on the center part of the mold. When blocks are placed on the mold, the surface area of the mold is preferably occupied by 5-40%. |
