ACTIVE MATRIX TYPE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE: To provide an active matrix type liquid crystal display device capable of improving the opening rate and shielding light for driving circuit parts without increasing the number of stages. CONSTITUTION: This active matrix type liquid crystal display device has at least a first insulating substrate which has pixel parts formed out of TFTs and the driving circuit parts for driving these pixel parts on the same plane, a second insulating substrate which faces this substrate and has color filters and an liquid crystal material which is packed between the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate. The active matrix type liquid crystal display device is provided with three kinds of the color filters of R(red), G(green), B(blue) in superposition in the positions facing the driving circuit parts to constitute the light shielding films.
