PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably and economically isolate higher harmonics inside the loadside circuit of a power distributing system from the power supply side circuit of a power supply side transformer. SOLUTION: A power distributing circuit for connecting a nonlinear load to an AC power source comprises an AC power supply 10, having fundamental frequency, a power supply side transformer 20, which connected to the AC power supply, has a given MVA rating and impedance characteristic, a load 30 connected to the power supply side transformer 20 and to the AC power supply 10 via a feeder and provided with a device 32 for injecting higher harmonics current having at least one higher harmonic frequency of the AC power supply, and a rejection filter 40, which forms a resonance circuit by connecting a series circuit of an auxiliary transformer 43 and a capacitor 44 which is parallel to the power supply side transformer 20. This resonance circuit has a frequency which sufficiently matches the frequency of the higher harmonics current and an impedance sufficiently large to virtually prevent all higher harmons currents from flowing in the circuit. |
