<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery whose internal resistance is low and that an operating voltage does not drop even if it is discharged in high rate. SOLUTION: A conductive tab 1 for a positive electrode is projected on top of an electrode body 10, and a negative electrode is projected at the bottom surface of an electrode body 10. When assembling this battery, the electrode body 10 is contained in an enclosure can 30, a core body exposed part of a negative plate is electrically connected to the inner bottom surface of the enclosure can 30. Then, a plurality of current collecting tabs for a positive electrode 11 projected from a positive plate are bundled to be spot welded to one edge of a positive electrode current collecting lead plate 12. Other edge of the positive electric collecting lead plate 12 is spot welded to a positive electrode current collecting body 24. After that, an electrolyte is injected, a sealing lid 20 is mounted to an opening part of the enclosure can 30, and a periphery of a lid body 21 and an entire circumference of a contacting part with the enclosure can 3 are welded and sealed. A voltage is applied across a positive cap 22 of this battery and the enclosure can 30 to flow a current so as to weld an upper edge of the current collecting tabs for a positive electrode 11 and a contacting part with a long side part 24a of the positive electrode current collecting body 24.</p> |
