veterinary science. SUBSTANCE: the method suggests to conduct an allergic intracutaneous test in the middle third of a neck in cows 15-20 d before calving. Keratin protein is used as an allergen (antigen) isolated out of a producing layer of hoof epidermis at 0.20- 0.21 ml dosage. Registration of allergic reaction is conducted 48 h after allergen injection according to 2 mm cutaneous fold thickening and higher. EFFECT: simplified diagnostics of hoof diseases in cows and increased objectivity level of criteria evaluating the results of testings. 2 tbl
