PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drilling method and a drilling machine capable of stabilizing a hole opening by a miniaturized grouting device to prevent the collapse around the hole opening, facilitating the discharge of chips and efficiently drilling a hole. SOLUTION: A grouting device equipped with a tank 6 for a bentonite solution, an injection nozzle 5 for injecting the bentonite solution into the hole and an injection pump 7 supplying the bentonite solution to the injection nozzle 5 from the tank 6 is mounted on the drilling machine 1, and after a spot facing drilling is made, the bentonite solution is poured into the hole, and the drilling is again made to stabilize the hole opening by adhering a mixture of the bentonite solution with the chips to the neighborhood of the opening hole.
