PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an oligonucleotide that clearly detects a human papilloma virus (HIV) in a sample, pointed out to be related to cervical cancer, in excellent reproducibility, and types HPV if necessary or a reagent kit. SOLUTION: The primer set efficiently amplifies an HPV in a sample in a good balance. The oligonucleotide probe set performs typing or grouping for recognizing slight sequence characteristics in each amplification product. The detection method uses the primer set.
