PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical component storage box securing fire retardancy of an outdoor unit of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: The electrical component storage box 1 is provided at an upper end of a metallic partition plate 5 partitioning an air blower chamber 9 and a compressor chamber 11, astride the air blower chamber 9 side and the compressor chamber 11 side, and an exposure part 3 on the air blower chamber 9 side of the electrical component storage box 1 is covered with a metallic cover 12. The cover 12 is mechanically fixed to metallic components such as an outdoor unit front plate 7 and the partition wall 5 by screws 15. This structure prevents spreading of flames to the electrical component storage box 1 due to fire catch of a resin blowout grill 6 and a fan 4 and falling down of the entire metallic cover 12.
