<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag for a head protection airbag system which can extensively cover an interior side of a rear pillar portion, while retaining tension applied forward and rearward at a time of completion of expansion. SOLUTION: The air bag 11 is folded and accommodated in an upper edge side limb of an interior side opening W, and develops and expands when expansion gas flows therein, so as to cover the opening W and the interior side of the rear pillar portion RP. In the air bag 11, a plurality of connecting portions 31 and 32 are disposed frontward and rearward in parallel to each other, and vertically extends to connect an interior sidewall portion 15a and exterior sidewall portion 15b, in an area of an expansion portion 16 covering the interior side of the rear pillar portion. A lower end portion 32a of at least one connecting portion 32 excluding the up-front connecting portion 31 is disposed above a lower end 31a of the up-front connecting portion 31.</p> |
