The fixed window frame double glazing unit includes a base profile resting on the sloping surface of the bottom sill. The base profile is U-shaped and has inward pointing snap-in rims. The glazing unit includes a bottom sill (1), a top sill (2) and a groove (3) in which the double glazing panes (4) fit, resting on a rubber support block (5) which do not protrude in front of the pane surface (4'). The base profile (7) is U-shaped and has inwardly pointing snap-in rims. The profile fits around the top sill and uprights. The pane retainer strip (8) is U-shaped and one leg cooperates with a rubber seal strip. The other leg includes a protruding end section. A self adhesive seal strip fits between the grooved part and the panes.
