Dosing food substance with additive and filling into containers - in synchronism with filling of containers, with filling device supplied directly from mixing vessel

Mixing an additive with a food substance, and for filling the mixt. into containers is claimed. A storage vessel (1) for the base material, a second storage vessel (2) and a dosing device (10) for the additive, and a mixing vessel (3) containing an agitator (4) and into which the base substance and additive are delivered and from which a second dosing device (5) is supplied are provided. This second dosing device fills each container (9) with a predetermined quantity of the mixture. Each filling cycle of the second dosing device is accompanied by corresponding deliveries of the additive and the base substance into the mixing vessel (3), and the second dosing draws the mixture directly from the mixing vessel. The additive is dosed into the base substance before it enters the mixing vessel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used esp. for mixing fruit segments with a liq. food substance such as yoghurt, and filling containers with a measured quantity of the mixt. Maintains the accuracy of the quantity of additive placed in each container and the constancy of the mixing proportions while reducing the complexity of the equipment. A separate dosing device for the base substance is not required. The equipment can be manufactured more simply and more economically, and can easily be integrated into a filling plant layout.
