PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system in which a troublesome operation required for navigation display is eliminated. SOLUTION: The navigation system comprises a navigation unit 100 performing navigation operation, an image selector 200 for selecting and outputting an image signal, a display 300 for displaying an image based on the image signal, and a power switch 400 connected between the display 300 and a battery 700. The navigation unit 100 makes a decision whether a current traveling road is traveled within a specified time interval in the past based on the traveling record of its own vehicle. If the road is not traveled before, the image selector 200 is switched to input an image signal from the navigation unit 100 to the display 300 thus starting navigation display automatically. |
