PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition having balanced and excellent rigidity, impact resistance and chemical resistance and useful for toiletry goods, material for entertainment goods, electric and electronic equipment, molded article required to have chemical resistance, etc., by including a rubber- reinforced styrene resin and a liquid crystal resin. SOLUTION: The objective thermoplastic resin composition can be produced by compounding (A) 90-99.99 wt.% of a rubber-reinforced styrene resin and (B) 0.01-10 wt.% of a liquid crystal resin having a melting point of <=250 deg.C wherein the average particle diameter of the component B is 0.01-20 times the average particle diameter of the component A and is preferably <10μm. Preferably, not less than 80% of the rubber component of the component A and the dispersed particle of the component B has a particle diameter of <=5μm. The component B preferably has a number-average molecular weight of <=5,000 and contains p-hydroxybenzoic acid residue and ethylenedioxy unit as essential components.
