PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the life of a consumption article without any contradiction, to efficiently detect the consumption of the consumption article, and to give a precise warning without any contradiction even when a detachable component such as a process cartridge mounted with a nonvolatile memory is replaced during power-ON operation. SOLUTION: In an image forming device main body 301, a subprocessor 303 detects the applied current integral quantity of a photosensitive drum 310 and the remaining amount of toner 311 in a process cartridge 307 containing consumption articles (photosensitive drum 310 and toner 311) mounted detachably on the image forming device main body 301, compares the detection results with the photosensitive drum applied current integral quantity and remaining toner amount of the photosensitive drum 301 stored in the memory 309 in the process cartridge 307, and decides warning contents according to the comparison result. |
