PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize the phase of the musical sound of an electronic musical instrument. SOLUTION: This musical sound generator includes a microprocessor 4 which has input receiving a signal representing a selected note and determines which of usable ranks relates to the selected note by checking the combination of the usable ranks at the time of the reception of a signal and an oscillator bank 18 which is set as to respective ranks decided to relate to the selected note. Respective oscillators include initialization parameters and start parameters defining the selected note and relative ranks and musical sound engines for musical sound generation are paired with the respective oscillators; and the initialization parameters are transferred from the respective oscillators to relative engines among the musical sound engines 8 and the start parameters are transferred from the respective oscillators to the relative musical sound engines at the same time. The signal representing the selected note is received, a group of usable ranks is monitored, and relation to the selected note of the rank is determined. |
