PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid-bearing unit in which air is hard to remain even if a concavity is in a shaft end. SOLUTION: In order to manufacture a spindle motor having an integrated flange 15 in one end and equipping a shaft 13 with a center hole 20 on the end, a sleeve 12, and a cup-shape housing 10, fill lubricant in the center hole 20 under the condition of the end of the shaft 13, where a flange 15 is provided, facing up and lubricate said facing-up plane. Next, mount the housing 10 on the shaft 13 and insert the shaft 13 into a cylinder 11a until the lubricant lubricating on said facing-up plane contacts with a counter plate 16. Then, move and insert the sleeve 12 into the cylinder 11a by inserting the shaft 13 through the sleeve 12. After that, fix the sleeve 12 on the inside peripheral surface of the cylinder 11a.
