PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the automation of notification restricted only to a user requiring the provision of revised software through a network. SOLUTION: In providing software to a user, a user's request concerned with the provision of the revised software is managed by a database. The registration of the provided software is received, whether the received software is revised software or not is automatically discriminated, and when the software is the revised one, information concerned with the provision of the revised software is acquired from the database and the user is automatically informed of the information. Since a software provider registers the software in a providing device without distinguishing the revised software from new software, the provider can inform the user requesting the provision of the revised software of the information. |
