PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalyst deodorizing device which lessens the loss of heat, does not require more than needed heating and is efficient. SOLUTION: The oxidation catalyst deodorizing device which deodorizes odorous gas by heating the odorous gas and bringing the odorous gas into contact with a catalyst to promote a chemical reaction is so constituted that its outer peripheral walls are formed of thermally insulating walls and that the odorous gas heated by heaters and the exhaust gas after deodorization are passed into an inner passage which introduces the odorous gas to an outer peripheral passage and is enclosed by this outer peripheral passage. Further, a heat exchange section and a non-heat exchange section are constituted. The heat exchange section consists of a wall surface structure to allow the easy transfer of heat in the inner passage walls from after the passage through the catalyst to a discharge port. The non-heat exchange section is composed of the thermally insulating walls in the inner passage walls from the heaters to the side after the passage through the catalyst. |
