PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load of a center device by reducing communication traffic between a center device and a terminal device, and to sharply reduce schedule delay when an communication error occurs. SOLUTION: This remote data meter-reading method in a remote management system configured of a center device 10 and a plurality of terminal devices 20a connected through a commercial line includes grouping the terminal devices 20a managed by the center device 10 in regular remote meter-reading, and transferring the meter-reading data of all the terminal devices 20a in a set sequence from the terminal device 20a to the other terminal device 20a while adding its own meter-reading data to the meter-reading data in one group.
