1293846 Graft polymer blends BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 25 March 1970 [26 March 1969] 14486/70 Heading C3G A moulding composition comprises a blend of (A) an impact resistant polystyrene made by polymerizing styrene monomer material in the presence of a rubbery polymer of isoprene or butadiene and (B) 3 to 30% by weight, based on the whole composition, of a graft polymer obtained by grafting 10 to 60 parts by weight of styrene monomer material on to 90 to 40 parts of a metallized 1,3-diene polymer. In the examples, (A) is polybutadiene grafted in solution with styrene and (B) is prepared by grafting styrene on to polybutadiene, or butadienestyrene copolymer, which has been produced using a butyl lithium catalyst and metallized with an n-butyl lithium/potassium t-butanolate complex. The compositions prepared also contain butyl stearate.
