The invention relates to a compensating arrangement for contactless scanning and control devices, in which a radio-frequency measuring field exists between a sensor electrode (7) and a mating electrode (1). In this case, a second radiating electrode (8) generates a compensation field with a reverse phase angle and the same effective radiation of energy. When compared with the wavelength of the radio frequency, the compensation field is generated in this case near the measurement field between the sensor electrode (7) and mating electrode (1), being so close that the radiation of energy from the compensation field and measuring field approximately compensate one another. <IMAGE>
