PURPOSE: The method for producing anti-reflection article is provided to realize a method of manufacturing antireflection articles having zero percent optical reflection at a specified wavelength. CONSTITUTION: A filler of a nanoparticulate filler material(16) is dispersed in a host material(14) and a product of the resulting material is coated with an anti-reflection material(12) to produce the objective antireflection product(10). The anti-reflection product(10), e.g. a high performance lens, has a filler of the nanoparticulate material(16) dispersed in the host material(14) of a polymer and then the host material(14) is coated with the anti-reflection coating(12), e.g. magnesium fluoride.
