PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method capable of achieving the excellent deodorization effect by decomposing ammonia and hydrocarbon, and by reducing generation of nitrogen oxides. SOLUTION: The device for processing a gas containing ammonia and hydrocarbon comprises a gas introducing means 1, first and second catalytic reaction parts 4 and 5, and a gas exhausting means 3. The gas is introduced into the first catalytic reaction part 4 and the second catalytic reaction part 5 in this order. Ammonia in the gas is converted into nitrogen gas by the pyrolysis under the presence of a catalyst in the first catalytic reaction part 4, and hydrocarbon in the gas is pyrolyzed under the presence of a catalyst in the second catalytic reaction part 5. Then, the gas passing the second catalytic reaction part 5 is exhausted by the gas exhausting means 3. |
