PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device for an elevator with a simple structure capable of keeping a foreign matter detection means of an entrance in a normal state by simple maintenance work. SOLUTION: In this sliding door device, an edge part on the doorstop side of a sliding door 1 opening/closing the entrance is installed with a tube body 10 of a viscoelastic material, and plural horizontal partition plates 11 of a viscoelastic material each having a through hole 12 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the tube body 10 apart from each other. The tube body 10 is provided with a photoelectric device 13 passing a light beam 14 through the through holes 12 of the plates 11. Thereby, when closing the sliding door 1, door-closing operation is abnormal-time-controlled by operation of the photoelectric device 13 caused by elastic deformation of the tube body 10 or the like pressed by a foreign matter in the entrance. Accordingly, the sliding door device requires no link or the like to allow low-cost production and capable of being installed by easy work, and a normal detection function for the foreign matter in the entrance can be maintained by the simple maintenance work. |
