PURPOSE:To reduce the distortion of the output current of a transistor inverter device by varying the ON-ready time of the base drive signal of a main circuit transistor in response to the collector current of the transistor for forming the main circuit of a transistor inverter. CONSTITUTION:A voltage from an AC power source is supplied to a motor 5 through a transistor inverter 2 composed of a rectifying and smoothing circuit 1 and main circuit transistors 3, 4. An ON-ready time control circuit 8 delays a base drive signal output from a waveform generator 6 at the ON-ready time responsive to the collector current of the main circuit transistor detected by a collector current detector 7, and supplied to the bases of the transistors 3, 4. Thus, the distortion of the output current of a transistor inverter device can be reduced. |
