PURPOSE: To prepare a composite sheet having good shaping and forming property by laminating both the sides of a mat-shaped material of glass fibers with a thermoplastic film and forming a columnar reinforcing part by binding glass fibers existing between the thermoplastic film and the another film's part corresponding a part of the thermoplastic film with a thermoplastic binder. CONSTITUTION: Thermoplastic resin films are laminated on both the sides of a mat-shaped material of glass fibers. Glass fibers existing between a part of the thermoplastic resin film and the another film's part corresponding the part are integrally bound with a thermoplastic binder to form a roughly columnar reinforcing part, and at the same time, the glass fibers are adhered to at least one of the films. The obtained laminar body is excellent in shaping- forming by heating and pressing, and it gives a formed article light in weight, and excellent in heat resistance, mechanical strength and acoustic properties. The materials for the thermoplastic film and the binder include polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene, a saturated polyester and polyamide. |
