BLOOD PRESSURE MONITORING METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for continuously and non-invasively monitoring the arterial blood pressure. SOLUTION: This device for continuously monitoring the arterial blood pressure of a user is provided with a sensor capable of continuously detecting the blood pressure and generating signals expressing the blood pressure by contacting with the outer surface of the user's body in a position adjacent to the artery. The sensor movably contacts with the user's body in the position and firmly retained. A microprocessor interprets the signals generated by the sensor and determines the practical arterial blood pressure. The sensor includes a projecting portion detecting and transmitting changes in the blood pressure and the projecting portion causes, at least, partial blockage of the artery at the point.
