PURPOSE: To achieve a higher withstand voltage, to improve discharging property, and to perfectly prevent the leakage of an electrolyte by providing current collectors consisting of a metal or an electrically conductive resin on respective polarizable electrodes and by using active carbon as the polarizable electrodes on the positive and negative electrode sides. CONSTITUTION: A polarizable electrode 1 on the positive electrode side and a polarizable electrode 2 on the negative electrode side are counterposed with an electrolyte 5, using a composite gel consisting of a gel having electric conductivity and a binder, interposed between them. Current collectors 3, 4 consisting of a metal or an electrically conductive resin are provided on the respective polarizable electrodes 1, 2, and active carbon is used as the polarizable electrodes 1, 2 on the positive and negative electrode sides. Herein, the gel having electric conductivity is an organic/inorganic composite substance. Further, the gel is at least one selected from silica gel, alumina gel, and titania gel. Further, the active carbon is at least one selected from phenol, pitch, and polyacrylonitrile powder or fiberous active carbon. |
