FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; may be used in provision of operation of electrolyzers for production of aluminum. SUBSTANCE: method provides for joining of steel and aluminum parts of current lead of electrolyzer with use of intermediate plate between joined parts in the form of graphite spacer 0.3-1 mm thick which is placed between preliminarily cleaned and tinned surfaces of assembly clamped by means of mechanical couplings.
