The flexible belt extension comprises an elastic middle portion which is held between two clasps. One of these covers the belt buckle and can be opened to allow the belt extension to be fed into the buckle. The other clasp is fitted to the belt end and has a press stud fastener to connect the extension and the belt end. The clasps can be adjusted to give a symmetrical appearance to the belt.
