The invention refers to a mechanical shock damping device used for example in motor vehicles in order to dampen front and/or rear shocks. According to the invention, the mechanical shock damping device has a transversal wall (3) fixed in the damping device (A), provided with nozzles (4) covered on both sides by elastic blades (5), on which one of the ends of the volume compensator (1) is fixed, the other end being fixed inside outer cylinder (2). Inner cylinder (6) is provided with a pin (7) which guides it along cylinder (2) through slit (a); outer cylinder (2) is also provided inside with a rubber limiter buffer (9) for shock dampening. These damping devices (A) are interconnected through a pipe network (B), provided with a hydro-pneumatic device (C). The device includes pipes (10) connected to dampers (A) to the front and rear of the vehicle, mounted parallel to each other and interconnected by another transversal pipe (11), on which is mounted, through connecting piece (21), the hydro-pneumatic device (C) consisting of two cylinders (20 and 19) fixed on transversal wall (16), provided at the centre with two nozzles (17) covered on both sides by an elastic blade (18) each, so that they allow the flow of liquid (12) in a volume compensator (13) fixed at one end to transversal wall (16) and at the other end, to a piston-cylinder (14) provided with nozzles (15) for the flow of a gas (22) which is introduced under pressure through valves (23) performed at the loose end of the cylinder (19) of hydro-pneumatic device (C) that is also provided inside with a rubber buffer (24).
