The emission flow is first passed through a porous gas adsorption granulate layer and then through a porous noble metal catalytic conversion granulate layer. This second layer has a spiral-form noble metal grid or wire. The porous gas adsorption granulate layer consists of natural or synthetic zeolites. The noble metal grid or wire may be electrically heated, possibly by a resistance wire.
