The inventive device for protecting objects during transportation (7) is a cushion-shaped hollow body (4) consisting of a film material, in which one o r more receiving areas are provided in the form of recesses (6). The objects t o be packed (6) can be placed in said receiving areas, which are surrounded al l around by the padding (15, 16) of the cushion-shaped hollow body (4). The recesses (6) in the transportation protection device (7) which form the receiving areas for the objects to be packed (8) are produced by interconnecting the two layers of the hollow body (4) along an outline (5) which corresponds at least approximately to the outline of the object to be packed (8). A cover (9) may be allocated to the transportation protection device (7) to close the open sides of the recesses (6).
