FLUORESCENT LAMP LIGHTING DEVICE AND LUMINAIRE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp lighting device and a luminaire, each having a proper rising characteristic by a simple circuit structure, a small size and a satisfactory workability. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a bent-type fluorescent lamp 8; a lighting circuit formed integrally with the bent-type fluorescent lamp 8 for supplying high-frequency power to the bent-type fluorescent lamp 8; and a cover having the fluorescent lamp mounted on its opening part and housing the lighting circuit in its inside. The lighting circuit is provided with a rectifying- smoothing circuit 3 for rectifying and smoothing an A.C. power source 1; an inverter circuit 4 for converting the output of the rectifying-smoothing circuit 3 into high-frequency power; a driver circuit 5 for driving the inverter circuit 4; an inductor 6 for limiting the output current of the inverter circuit 4; and an NTC thermistor 10 for controlling the input current of the driver circuit 5.
