PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nonaqueous secondary battery. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of interposing a separator 3 between a positive electrode 1 and a negative electrode 2, to form an electrode group 4 with a laminated structure in which the area ratio of exposed surface thereof to non-exposed surface is <=0.075, and impregnating the electrode group 4 with a nonaqueous electrolyte. At least one of the positive electrode 1 and the negative electrode 2 contains either surfactants of anionic surfactant or nonionic surfactant.
