PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent card settlement of accounts from being processed by an erroneously input payment amount of money when a sales person input erroneously the payment amount of money for the card settlement of accounts. SOLUTION: Total amount of money in one commercial transaction calculated by a computing means in a POS(point of sale) terminal 1 is compared with a payment amount of one commercial transaction input by an amount-of-money input means of a terminal 3 for the card settlement. When the total amount in the one transaction is matched with the payment amount, settlement processing for the one commercial transaction is conducted based on card information read by a card reader of the terminal 3. When not matched, the settlement processing is not conducted. When the total amount is larger than the payment amount, the settlement processing is conducted using the payment amount, and the difference is dealed as shortage. When the total amount is smaller than the payment amount, the settlement processing is conducted using the total amount. |
