PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure simple and optimum to integration in a magnetic element employed for recording regenerating element (device) and logical operation element (computer, device). SOLUTION: A magnetic layer FM1 is provided with a magnetization variable region magnetizable in either one of a first direction or a second direction, counter parallel to the first direction, and electrodes L1, L2, for introducing electric current into the same. The non-magnetic layer NM is provided with another electrode L3 positioned on the magnetization variable region of magnetic layer FM1 to give a predetermined potential to itself, and a magnetic layer FM2 is provided with another electrode L4 positioned on the non-magnetic layer NM to detect the potential of itself. The internal magnetization of the magnetic layer FM2 is fixed previously in either one of the first or the second direction and, thereafter, the change of magnetized condition is detected in the magnetization variable region of the magnetic layer FM1.
