PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily give a mark with good visibility to a contact lens at low cost, and to prevent the lens strength from decreasing due to the marking. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a marking method for the contact lens, characterized in that when the contact lens is marked by imprinting mark characters or patterns on an optical molding surface of a metal mold used to manufacture a molding resin mold for the contact lens and transferring them through the resin mold, the engraved mark given to the metal mold is formed of a plurality of uneven parts so as to represent the characters or patterns of the marked contact lens with the fine unevenness.
