PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device which sufficiently suppresses the generation of air bubbles in a water-soluble ink for inkjet recording in a nozzle when the cleaning of the nozzle surface is performed by jetting a gas to the nozzle surface of an inkjet head, and for which an appearance ratio of poor discharges by air bubbles is suppressed. SOLUTION: This inkjet recording device performs recording by discharging the water-soluble ink onto a medium to be recorded from the nozzle which is provided on the nozzle surface of the inkjet head. In the inkjet recording device, a cleaning device which cleans the nozzle surface by jetting the gas, of which the solubility to water is lower than air, to the nozzle surface is provided. The cleaning device is constituted of a cylinder, a gas jetting nozzle which is provided in the vicinity of the nozzle surface, and a tube which guides the gas to a gas jetting port form the cylinder. In this case, in the cylinder, the gas of which the solubility to water is lower than that of air is compression-filled.
