A display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain a uniform light emitting efficiency and/or color purity by adjusting a thickness of a light emitting efficiency enhancement layer. A display device includes an insulation substrate(110), a TFT(Thin Film Transistor), a protective film(150), an organic layer, and a light emitting efficiency enhancement layer(160). The TFT is formed on the insulation substrate. The protective film covers the TFT. The organic layer is formed on the protective film. The light emitting efficiency enhancement layer includes first and second inorganic layers, which are sequentially formed along an emitting direction of a light generated from the organic layer. The second inorganic layer has a greater refractive index than the first inorganic layer. The first and second inorganic layers are overlapped with each other.
