PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the cost for purchasing equipment. SOLUTION: This system includes a first web plate 302 for varying the polarizing direction of output light, a beam expander 304 for expanding the output light, a polarization splitter 306 for separating the expanded output light into vertically polarized light vertical to the polarizing direction and horizontally polarized light horizontal to the polarizing direction, a second wave plate 310 for varying the polarizing direction of the horizontal polarization, a micro mirror array 314 for adjusting the path of the horizontally polarized light passing through the second wave plate, a mirror 312 for adjusting the path of the vertically polarized light, and first and second lenses 316 and 318 for converging light the path of which is adjusted by the mirror and the micro mirror array and irradiating a storage medium with the light. Thus, by adjusting the optical path and the size of the light by the controlling operation of the micro mirror array or a spatial light modulator, the CD/DVD player and this holographic digital data storage system become compatible with each other. |
