The housing for a video recorder is in the form of several elements 1-4 that form a box enclosure. There is a first base housing component 1 which is covered by a second housing part 3. A front panel 4 is arranged on the first or second part. The first part 1 provides a location for a printed circuit board 2 that is supported on studs. The unit is produced in metal plate in a deep drawing operation that allows the studs to be formed. The formed cover 3 encloses the motherboard which has a plug on daughter board 12.
